About the ship... The Nifty Jewels is a new Starfleet design. It's mission is to test the new design while also handling delicate and dangerous missions as the class was designed too. The Avenger class starships are designed for battle, peace missions, exploration and relief missions. The Avenger class starships are all purpose ships that are made to last in any situation. It was Starfleet's answer to the demand of a powerful yet stable ship. The Nifty Jewels is the second ship of the class and has just been released from the shipyards. Its main goal is to put the ship through different tests to spot bugs and flaws in the design. To do this the Nifty Jewels is to take on the most delicate and dangerous missions Starfleet has to offer.
About the sim... The Nifty Jewels as a sim takes place several years after DS9 and Voyager. The NJ is in the Milky Way galaxy and is currently out on patroling and exploration missions on the edge of Federation space. We sim/rp on the IRC network KDSFnet, in the channel #USS-NiftyJewels .
